Fragrances make you feel good, so it makes good sense to use scents for holistic healing! They have the ability to:

All these aspects help you by making you feel better about yourself and putting you in control of your emotions.

History of Aromatherapy

The history of aromatherapy dates back to ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, when extracts of specific plants' flowers, buds, roots, and bark were used to treat disease.

It was revived in the 1930's when chemist Rene-Maurice Gattefosse burned his hand badly. He plunged it into a container of pure lavender oil and was amazed to find relief.

His hand healed in hours, leading Gattefosse and other scientists to further experimentation into aromatherapy. This developed into our modern aromatherapy treatments using essential oils (pure, concentrated plant extracts)
