Qi Gong Movements information

Qi Gong Therapy is said to:

- reduce stress and anxiety

- lower blood pressure

- boost the immune system

- slow aging

- decrease pain

- increase immunity

- improve mood by increasing serotonin and endorphins, which produce a calming effect.

Qi Gong practitioners use it to treat migraines, diabetes, prostate trouble, impotence and pain, as well as improve fitness and general health.

Qi gong therapy stimulates the flow of energy along the invisible meridians that flow throughout the body, linking over 100 acupoints.

The basic Qi gong therapy belief is that illness results from a chi (energy) imbalance.

This imbalance can be relieved through meditation, visualization, breathing and movement exercises that restore healthy flow to distressed parts of the body.

Some practitioner say qi gong moderates the function of the hypothalamus, pituitary and pineal glands, and the fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord.

Many believe it increases the amount of white blood cells, promoting production of enzymes needed for digestion, and improving oxygen supply by increasing the lung capacity.

At the very least, it can enhance fitness and promote relaxation.
