Meditation, your best tool for finding inner peace (and lots of other goodies!)

If finding inner peace is your goal, meditation is the vehicle that’ll get you there!
Have you ever been so engrossed in an activity that
an hour or more has passed without you being
aware of it? Then you've experienced
a form of meditation.
Meditation is simply a way to focus the mind and tap
into our own inner stillness, resulting in finding inner peace and increasing vitality and wellbeing
on all levels.
Transcendental Meditation involves mentally repeating a
mantra.
Mindfulness Meditation, based on the Buddhist
tradition vipassana, focuses on the present moment.
Meditation isn't just emptying your the mind of all thoughts
and letting it go blank. That’s pretty much the equivalent of
training your mind to be a rock, unthinking, unfeeling and
stationary. Meditation is quite the opposite: training your
mind to focus deeply on a specific subject, to the exclusion
of everything else.
A trained mind is a peaceful mind. Meditation harnesses the strength
of the mind, making it more powerful and giving you mastery
over it. Finding inner peace follows naturally. Whether you follow a traditional form of meditation
(such as sitting before a candle), or an active one (like a
walking meditation
), training the mind through regular meditation
will bring natural stress relief, increase happiness and
help you respond to changes more easily.
Meditation can be as simple as focusing on your breath.
