3rd Chakra Power

Like it's name suggests, the Solar Chakra is all about sunshine, joy, and laughter. This chakra gives you a sense of personal power in the world. It represents your ego identity and awareness of your life's meaning and purpose.

Also known as the power chakra, the Solar chakra rules your personal power, autonomy and metabolism, and is related to energy, assimilation and digestion.

When it's balanced you feel the full force of 3rd Chakra Power; more energy, self-worth, effectiveness, humility, spontaneity, empowerment and self-control.

The solar chakra is your body's primary energy storage centre, as well as being the central distribution point for that energy.

When this chakra is weak or blocked you'll feel a lack of energy, have low self-esteem, and feel insecure or worthless.

You could have a hard time seeing things through to completion, be easily swayed by authority figures, or resist authority of all kinds. You may doubt and distrust people in general.

Blocks in the solar chakra can lead to eating disorders such as anorexia. It can also cause insomnia or nightmares.

A balanced, well developed solar chakra makes you feel fully grounded and gives you a deeply fulfilling emotional life.

You can heal the Solar Chakra by restoring your sense of personal power, self-respect, courage, humility and grace.

When meditating on this chakra, visualize breathing bright yellow in and out. Grains and dairy foods support this chakra. You can stimulate it of Belly Dancing, twisting or Hoola hooping.
